Mastro’s Ocean Club opened its doors in San Diego at 901 Bayfront Court, Suite 105 on Friday, July 11, offering its revered, first-class dining experience with the highest quality of seafood and steaks, right on the Embarcadero. Marking the 10th California location and first in San Diego for the iconic restaurant brand, the new restaurant will accommodate up to 300 guests and include two large exterior patios with breathtaking oceanfront views, intimate private dining rooms, and a lively piano lounge and bar.
Mastro’s Ocean Club San Diego is celebrated for its distinct atmosphere, where every design element is meticulously crafted to deliver a luxurious and immersive dining experience. By incorporating elements of coastal luxury, the restaurant provides a unique experience while maintaining the hallmark elegance associated with the Mastro’s brand. Drawing inspiration from the city’s coastal charm, the design leans into a sophisticated palette, with warm earth tones and a subtle nautical influence that nods to the nearby Pacific Ocean. The space features expansive walls with floor to ceiling windows, giving every table an incredible view of the water and panoramic California sunsets. Custom artwork inspired by the coastal beaches are perfectly fixed around the restaurant, along with dimly lit chandeliers and pendant lights that create an atmosphere of refined intimacy, all complemented by soft leather furnishings in muted brown and slate hues. One of the most striking features of the San Diego location is the outdoor terrace, designed to highlight the city’s idyllic weather. This space is adorned with comfortable lounge seating, and unobstructed views of the city and ocean. The terrace seamlessly connects to the indoor dining area, offering the ultimate al fresco dining experience. Lastly, five private dining rooms are integrated throughout the restaurant, ideal for intimate group gatherings.

A by the glass list with 50 plus wines is also featured, which includes rare Coravin pours, multiple sparkling and dessert wine pours. The specialty cocktail menu offers something for everyone, ranging from classic and boozy favorites like Mastro’s signature smoking Lemon Drop and Cosmo martinis, alongside non-alcoholic cocktails. With approximately 500 different spirits behind the bar, the selection includes everything from traditional offerings to rare scotches and whiskeys, cognacs, sipping rums, premium tequilas, and after-dinner beverages.
